Sooner or later we had to do it: Building our own house in the Dominican Republic!

After an intensive search we found this 2000 m²-lot in Abreu. A great place, centrally located and with lots of different plants.

May 1998: A first look from the road.

November 1998: Ready for the foundation. Left in front and in the back the bedrooms, in between the bathroom. To the right kitchen and living room.

Building a house - dominican style!

This truck was only supposed to bring gravel. It took some hours to get him out of there. The lime-tree on the left did not survive the accident.

Dezember 1998: After about 3 weeks.

April 1999: Ready to move in!
